Threshold Lab
Audio Laboratory
In development · Mac first · One-time purchase
Threshold Lab is a desktop audio laboratory for turning an intention into an original guided listening session—without hiding the recipe that made it.
The macOS release is being prepared first for the Mac App Store. Windows is planned to follow through the Microsoft Store.
From intention to audio
Threshold Lab keeps the creative thinking, structured plan, plain-language explanation, and finished audio together. You can listen to the result and still see how it was made.
Begin with a purpose, duration, pacing, sound bed, narration style, and return path.
Review a timed structure of audio segments, narration cues, transitions, and gentle awareness lanterns.
Generate narration and procedural sound locally, then balance voice, tone, noise, nature, and volume.
Export the lossless WAV beside its prompt, portable plan JSON, and descriptive text file.
Three ways into the laboratory
Explore a finished design, describe what you want, or build every segment yourself. The app does not require meditation expertise or AI expertise to begin.
Session Library
Explore twenty original built-in designs across eight families. Compare each design prompt, plan, description, and WAV before adapting anything.
AI Lab
Ask a supported AI provider for a bounded session plan, inspect every proposed segment, and keep the exact prompt used to create it.
Session Creator
Set the timeline, layers, narration, mix, and duration yourself. Import an existing voice track or render a selected local voice.
The learning bundle
Every desktop export is designed to preserve four matching artifacts. Together they make a session understandable, portable, and easier to refine from direct experience.
Recorded prompts stay identified as recorded. Older or manual sessions receive a clearly labeled reconstructed learning prompt rather than invented history.

Built-in designs range from short calibration checks to longer witness and integration sessions. They are starting points for comparison, not a prescribed progression.
A plain data boundary
Procedural audio, narration rendering, playback, session history, Experience Records, and WAV export are handled on your computer.
AI Lab contacts a selected third-party provider only when you ask it to generate a plan. The planning prompt and context are then subject to that provider's account, terms, and privacy practices. Session Creator works without an AI provider.

If reflection is useful, record body rest, awareness continuity, return quality, observations, and what you might change next time.
Every field is optional. Records never unlock sessions, score outcomes, gate app use, or define personal progress. The human user remains the judge of the experience.
Release path
Threshold Lab is still in active development. Store links, pricing, system requirements, and a release date will appear here only after they are verified.
macOS
The Mac version is in development and is planned as the first public Threshold Lab release.

Responsible use
Threshold Lab is not a medical device, therapy product, diagnostic tool, or promise of a particular mental, physical, spiritual, or altered-state outcome.
Use headphones only in a safe setting. Never use sessions while driving or operating machinery. Stop if you experience distress, dizziness, unusual discomfort, or another adverse reaction.
